Snow King

Jim and I spent a week or so in Jackson, Wyoming.  The RV Park was really pleasant and not far from a bike trail that one could follow into Teton Village.  In Jackson, there are many good restaurants and  a ton of shopping.  Also, Snow King Ski Resort is right in town.  We decided that it would be a good idea to walk the trail up the ski area as often as we could.  It was about 5pm the first time we walked up.  Once at the top, we enjoyed the view, which included watching people jump of the side of the mountain.  Luckily, they were prepared.

We walked to the top of the mountain, but we took the ski lift down.  By the time we got back to the car, there were about ten paragliders in the sky.  Would we do it?  Jim doesn't feel the need at the moment.  I wouldn't mind, but I'm not dying to do it.  Should the opportunity arise and I felt confident with all the details, I'd give it a whirl.  It was really cool to see them jump off the mountain!!

Wyoming Part I

When we saw this we both said, "We are now in Wyoming."  Cattle crossing causing a traffic jam, "WELCOME TO THE COWBOY STATE".  So what if the cowboy is riding an ATV instead of a horse (see right side, mid pic).

Dubois, Wyoming.  I decided I'd make my best effort to recycle things like glass and plastic bottles while on our trip.  I like this photo, because it's the view from the dump where we dropped off our recycling.

Our secret hideaway.
The next few photos are from the Shoshone National Forest.

More snow.  This photo was taken on the first day of sumer.

This is where we took the jeep off roading for the first time.
Ring Lake near Dubois, Wyoming.
Another traffic jam, Wyoming style.

Jack-a-lope.  It's rare to have trophy this size of a jack-a-lope, but they seem to like the high country of Wyoming.  We've personally, only seen the smaller ones in the wild.

Our first glimpse of the Tetons.
